The Power of Curiosity in Personal Healing
A Journey of Self-Discovery, Energy, and Emotional Awareness
When did I stop questioning and seeking answers?
Curiosity has always driven my exploration of the world and myself.
This month, I battled a severe cold and persistent heel pain, hindering my mobility and daily activities. I wondered why these health issues coincided with my busy schedule and why I neglected my personal needs.
At the beginning of the year, I set up a daily routine including walking, meditation, reading, and cutting back on unhealthy habits. But managing these alongside other commitments became overwhelming.
Just looking at the list caused me stress.
I took a trip. Refreshing, but not enough.
I took a pause from everything except my 9-5. Didn't help.
It made me anxious about falling behind.
My basic needs weren't being met, and things didn’t go as planned because I ignored my main issue: Energy.
I lacked energy.
I realized I'm good at time management but not energy management. The years have added up, and I'm no longer 25, full of boundless energy. I need to respect my energy, care for my body, and use it wisely to decide what truly requires attention.
My Energy Healing Journey Starts back in my 30s
I began my journey of self-awareness by exploring why I frequently got sick as a child with tonsil issues. Three times a year, I had high fevers for days. I realized it was the only time I received my mom's care and attention, which even a simple forehead touch checking my temperature was enough. As a teenager, I continued to seek her attention, often causing trouble and making her anxious. Over time, I understood my actions, reactions, and thoughts better.
As I said, this was just the beginning.
Recognizing these patterns was a crucial first step. I began to see how my need for attention had manifested physically and emotionally. This realization prompted me to look deeper into other aspects of my health and well-being.
I started to explore different healing methods to address these underlying issues. My curiosity led me to study chakras, which helped me map out areas of imbalance in my body and mind. This self-examination laid the groundwork for my subsequent healing practices.
Studying the Chakras
Examining my body, I used a body map (front and back) to note points where something felt wrong—in my skin, muscles, mind, and heart. I identified areas of discomfort or tension and wrote down possible causes, tracing them back to childhood experiences and memories.
To understand and address these blockages, I turned to various books on the subject (a list of some I have included at the end). These resources provided insights, within the body, mind and … soul.
They influence my physical and emotional well-being.
This exploration led me to Reiki therapy, which opened the door to other healing methods such as Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), Systemic Constellation and much more.
Initially, I engaged with these practices as a student-patient, learning and experiencing their benefits firsthand. Over time, I became a practitioner, and eventually a master in some methods, deepening my understanding and ability to help others.
My Energy Healing Journey Continues
Often, emotional stress and anxiety arise without clear reasons.
If stress persists, it may be time for more focused energy-care. I returned to my books and notes with a mature, open mindset, exploring new approaches and beliefs.
I may face the same reasons, but I need to see them from another perspective.
The healing journey is lifelong, akin to my personal Ithaca—long and fruitful.
🌿Reflections to Ponder
• Are your basic needs being met?
Mine weren't recently, prompting this self-search and sharing.
• Are you truly attentive to your needs?
I thought I was, but clearly not enough.
• Do you prioritize your personal needs effectively?
I've learned to focus on fewer priorities daily, rather than overwhelming myself.
Just to Note
I never dismiss conventional medicine. I promptly consult doctors, take prescribed medications, and follow their advice. Alongside, I explore root causes because there's always a reason for what happens. I believe combining science with energy healing could greatly benefit our world.

What I love most about your sharing is how you exemplify self-awareness. Spiritual growth is all about constant self-reflection and checking in with our inner guru. This is so important in a time when spirituality has become more about trends—how to get this or that—or about people giving away their responsibility and power to others, objects, or places.
Sending love ❤️
Wow, two things stood out for me in your newsletter: like you, I was frequently sick as a child, and my throat remains my Achilles' heel even now. Secondly, I've also been falling ill much more often in the last year or so. I believe this is partly because I neglected my energy over a long period of time and couldn't find anything to restore it. Eventually, I realized my job was draining me from the inside out, and after many months of contemplation, I finally left it late last year. I loved the exploration you did here!
